Max & Me supports the responsible service of alcohol. It is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to, or to obtain alcohol on behalf of, a person under the age of 18 years. You must be over 18 to place an order, or to receive a delivery.

Returns & Refunds policy

If your delivery is incorrect, damaged, or unsatisfactory in any way please email us with the details within 2 days. If you receive a delivery with any breakages we will organise for the broken bottle(s) to be replaced at no additional charge. We will bear the reasonable cost of returning goods that are incorrect. Any products that are returned must be unopened.

Risk of damage, loss or deterioration to product passes to the buyer upon delivery and therefore no refunds are offered for products that are damaged after delivery.

Delivery information

Wines are shipped with Fast Way Couriers and you should expect delivery of your wine within 3 to 10 working days, depending on your location. Postage is charged at a flat rate of $15 for any delivery anywhere in Australia, calculated once you have completed your shopping and will be displayed at the checkout when your payment is finalised.

FastWay Couriers:
(a) is authorised to deliver the Goods to the Consignee at the address nominated by the Consignor or Consignee or agent of either of them; and
(b) shall be deemed to have delivered the Goods in accordance with these conditions if the Carrier obtains a signature acknowledging receipt from any person who presents himself to the Carrier as the Consignee or its agent, servant or officer (or obtains a written Authority to Leave without signature from either the Consignor or Consignee).

If the nominated place of delivery is unattended at the time delivery is attempted or if delivery cannot otherwise be effected the Carrier may, without being obliged to do so, store the Goods at the risk and expense of the Consignor so that:
(a) the Carrier may attempt one more re-delivery of the Goods to the Consignee from the place of storage; or
(b) request that the Consignee attend the Carrier’s premises or another nominated location to collect the Goods. If neither re-delivery nor pick-up by the Consignee can be effected within 7 days, the Carrier may return the Goods to the Consignor.

Where the Goods are collected or consigned for collection, the Carrier may release the Goods to any person who presents himself to the Carrier as the Consignee or its agent, servant or officer and the Carrier shall be conclusively presumed to have delivered the Goods in accordance with these conditions if the Carrier obtains from that person a receipt or signature for the Goods.

Appropriate ID may be required to ensure the recipient is not less than 18 years of age. On delivery please inspect the goods to ensure there are no breakages and that the correct items have been received.

Incorrect address/delivery details.

If any deliveries cannot be made due to an incorrect address or incorrect delivery details, the wines will be returned to us, additional postage charges will apply for re-delivery. Max & Me cannot be held responsible for deliveries to incorrect or incomplete addresses which are provided by the customer. If the incorrect address is supplied to us and the delivery is made, the customer assumes responsibility for the entire purchase.

Privacy policy

Max & Me keeps the information you have provided to us confidential. Any information we collect in relation to you is kept strictly secured. We do not pass on or sell any of your personal details with anyone. We use your details provided to process your order(s), provide you with customer service and to provide you with our newsletter.

Credit Cards

Credit card information is sent to Stripe. Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. To accomplish this, we make use of best-in-class security tools and practices to maintain a high level of security at Stripe.

All card numbers are encrypted on disk with AES-256. Decryption keys are stored on separate machines. None of Stripe’s internal servers and daemons are able to obtain plaintext card numbers; instead, they can just request that cards be sent to a service provider on a static whitelist. Stripe’s infrastructure for storing, decrypting, and transmitting card numbers runs in separate hosting infrastructure, and doesn’t share any credentials with Stripe’s primary services (API, website, etc.).
