Tasting Notes
Appearance: Intensely coloured deep purple red, dark core
Aroma: Powerful black cherry and mulberry fruit, some musk and red liquorice. Underlying dried herbs and some earthiness.
Flavour: Dark brambly fruits are to the fore with a little touch of stalky spice. Initially a luscious and textural wine, but the spine of cool-climate Eden Valley minerality keeps the wine bright, and the long flavours finish with freshness and a delicious moreishness. Should have an exceptional cellar-life. A pre-decant is recommended to open the aromas.
